Serpent Medicine

I love how Christianity (and other monotheistic religions) have completely demonized the snake as a symbol of sin and tempting. And pre-patriarchical spirituality (earth based worship) revered the snake as a symbol of the Divine Feminine and fertility. So much can be gleaned through study of the suppression of the feminine within organized Abrahamic Religions. Through my own continual #deconditioning of the #patriarchy housed within me, my relationship to such symbols has changed drastically.

The serpent holds so much power, I felt her pulsing through my hands. The fear, and excitement that is enticed. Similar to the feminine, that was suppressed (and still is, but she is rising). Within and without.

It was only fitting that I had the opportunity to tune into the medicine the serpent wanted to teach me, as I was on Crete, paying homage to the Snake Goddess of #knossos. Ancient rememberings taking place. .

The serpent has many teachings especially of transformation, and the shedding of old skin (the false egoic self) to rise into the new (true spiritual self). As we grow spiritually, we do the same, recreating ourselves.

I've been journeying with the serpent energy for quite some time never having the experience of meeting one in the flesh or so personal. It was truly such a gift and so powerful.
